Project updates

The following pictures are what I have been working on the last few days. The first is Calloway socks by Cookie A. The next picture is a scarf using the icing pattern on Raverlry. The last 2 are yarn I plied together and I am planning on using in the Magic carpet ride pattern.

Slow progress

Well it is already Thursday and I have made almost no progress on any project. I have been not feeling well this week. I think I got a cold when I was at the Doctor, which sucks because I have a bad immune system right now. I was able to get the recycled yarn dyed today, it is currently out on the fence in hanks drying. It came out a lovely green color. This weekend I am hoping to get my container garden planted, so far I have seeds for Juliet Hybrid grape tomatoes, Salad bowl lettuce, Mesclun lettuce mixture, and 2 types of basil. I am hoping to get maybe 2 more types of tomatoes and rosemary.

Embroidery Hell

So i said to a friend I would be happy to make trim for a SCA tunic using my embroidery machine... Well 4 days later I am still working on the trim. I admit it looks lovely but it is a pain to do. That is the design for the embrodiery on the right.. I have also in the last few days completed one color worked sock.


Next week is gulf wars, I am not able to go because of my illness so I plan on working on a lot of projects. I want to complete the other color work sock and work on a shawl from the many patterns I have saved and also want to work on my green and blue quilt .

Well it is Monday

Well it is Monday, I made it through another med cycle on Sunday with little or no issues.. Got up this morning and decided I wanted to over dye some lamb wool lace weight yarn for a shawl. The yarn is a recycled sweater, I look about 350 yards and dyed it with koolaide. waiting on it to dry to see what I think. I have been working on my Irate squirrel socks.

Applique started

I got the center part of the block cut out and pinned down and a little bit even appliqued down today. I also worked on my calloway socks, I am liking how the stripped green yarn is looking with the pattern. Going to do chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight so easy dinner.

I'm back

Well after a long break I am back to my blog. I am going to try to post once a day about my crafts and what is going on... Today I ironed a lot of fabric for 2 quilts. One is an applique quilt that is a Block of the month from FatCat patterns (http://www.fatcatpatterns.com/) called Fiesta!. The other quilt is one I designed myself. it is a Lamoye Star block and applique flower blocks. I also started on another pair of sock, the design is called Irate Squirrel by verybusymonkey..

Completed Spinning the Challenge

I have completed my mystery bat challenge spinning it is 44 yards of 20 Wpi yarn. Now off to set the twist and I will be done. Cheer.
